Electronics manufacturing and contract manufacturing
Ambimat Electronics builds electronic products and printed circuit boards to order. Manufacturing can be engaged on its own: a production-ready design is enough, and a design engagement with Ambimat is not a prerequisite. Bare-board fabrication is delivered through Ambimat’s manufacturing partners, while assembly, wiring and test are carried out by Ambimat’s own technicians and test facility.
What Ambimat can build
- With a slew of manufacturing partners from across the globe Ambimat can build single side or multi-layer flexible PCBs to double-sided boards as well as multilayer RIGID boards up to 24 Layers.
- Ambimat has in the past built circular flexible PCBs as well as PCBs as large as 300mm X 500mm.
- Minimum conductor width, minimum conductor spacing, hole size, maximum board size, number of layers and other specifications can be provided on request.
Assembly, wiring and test
Ambimat has pick and place machines that place and solder components, and technicians who can manually wire thru-hole and SMD components in packages such as 1206, 0603 and 0402. Ambimat’s test facility supports functional testing and environmental testing with a 168-hour burn-in analysis. Component sourcing
Ambimat’s supply chain team has rate ties with local and global vendors in countries including Singapore, Taiwan, Malaysia, China and the United States, and can approach component manufacturers directly where the quantities justify it. Flexible and flexi-rigid boards
Flexible and flexi-rigid construction is a long-standing part of Ambimat’s work. Alongside the circular flexible PCBs above, Ambimat has designed and brought up a 0.2mm flexible temperature-logger board with an NFC antenna etched in copper, and a flexi-rigid smart watch board pairing a four-layer rigid PCB with a two-layer flexible one. Both are described on Flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Where Ambimat can join your programme
- You have a production-ready design. Ambimat can quote and build it. No design engagement is required.
- Your design is not production-ready yet. Ambimat supports customers who already have a design team and want help on specific parts of the design, for example taking a schematic design to a Gerber release – see Outsourcing R&D and Design Partnerships.
