About Our Director
Durgesh Shah is the Founder and CEO of Ambimat Electronics. By education he is an Electronics and Communication Engineer from one of the most premier engineering colleges in Ahmedabad, L.D. College of Engineering back from 1978. Right out of college he joined Space Application Center, ISRO and worked there for 4 years. Like so many other entrepreneurs he always knew that he cannot be working for someone for a long time so he decided to take the plunge, left his job and bootstrapped Ambimat Electronics in a very modest setting. He has been responsible for taking Ambimat to where it is at the moment. Ambimat is now in it’s 36th year of existence and attributes its growth to Durgesh Shah. Starting with designing and developing microprocessor and microcontroller kits for college students under the Ambitronix brand and supplying it to some of the most premier institutions of India like the IITs, NITs etc to now supplying design and development services to India’s first Mars mission. There have been several such achievements in his tenure as the CEO of Ambimat Electronics. He is an expert at Digital and Analog design circuits. Even after being in the executive position at Ambimat for so long he is a very hands on person and loves to get his hands dirty whenever he gets a chance. He married his wife, Mala Shah ( a specialist in child development and Director of Mala’s academy of English ), in 1981 and has two children, Mansi Shah (Interior Architect, CEPT University and Director of Footprints Design Inc.) and Neel Shah (MSE Embedded Systems from the University of Pennsylvania) both very accomplished in their fields of work!
