How an AmbiSense deployment fits together

The sensing layer is deliberately simple: the device measures and stores locally, so the record survives even when there is no network at the point of measurement. The Smart Label is read over NFC by any suitable phone, which is why no reader hardware, gateway or pairing step is needed in the field — the person already handling the consignment is the reader.

The data layer is where integration happens. A CSV export is the plain path into an existing analytics or quality system, and the same temperature stream can be pushed to a cloud service. Ambimat’s stated integration position is that the sensing element can be built into an existing product so that it sends temperature data directly to the cloud, rather than the customer adopting a separate monitoring product alongside their own.

Engineering and customisation

Ambimat designs and manufactures this hardware in-house, so the parts that usually need to change for a specific deployment — logging interval, start and stop behaviour, threshold values, the export format, and how the data reaches your systems — are configuration or engineering questions rather than fixed limits. If you need a sensing element embedded in your own product, that is a design engagement rather than a catalogue order, and it starts from the requirement rather than from a product code.
